Reid brothers primed

BACK ON TRACK: Sam and Ben Reid have both been treated for leg injuries over the summer, and are raring to go in 2015.

THEY’VE had their injuries attended to over the summer, and now Bright’s AFL superstar brothers Ben and Sam Reid are looking forward to the 2015 season.

After persistent leg injuries plagued Ben’s 2014 season, Collingwood sought out world-leading soft tissue specialist Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt and sent the 195cm utility to Germany for answers.

Reid injured his hamstring in the Pies’ round 21 loss to Brisbane last year and injured his calf in December, a week before he was due to return to a full-time training schedule.

The 2010 premiership player managed just four games last season, leaving him a game shy of the 100 mark.

Speaking on CollingwoodTV last month, Ben said his trip to Munich was a successful one.

“The main goal was just to get over there and get a few ideas and I suppose to see some different people that I probably haven’t seen over here in Melbourne,” he said.
