Riders hit town for zone finale

THE Bright and District Pony Club hosted the North East Zone championships finale last Sunday.

The North East Zone which covers the Alpine Shire to Howlong and Seymour holds a number of events over the course of the year with contests in show jumping and dressage.

Despite the poor weather in the build up to the event the rain held out and allowed those in attendance to ride in fairly good conditions.

The local club finished the day with a number of strong results and also had two riders qualify to represent the North East at the state championships in Wonthaggi on February 22-23 next year.
