BRIGHT made a triumphant return to Wangaratta and District cricket with a convincing win over Wangaratta Magpies on Saturday.

Batting first the Wanderers posted a strong total of 6/171 before backing up their batting effort with some great work in the field to have the Magpies all out for 74.

Bright’s innings started solidly with openers Dylan Bursill and Regan Alexander ticking the scoreboard over before Alexander fell with the score on 39.

Nick Howden then joined his skipper and the pair scored freely, adding 75 before Howden departed for a well made 41.

That wicket started a small collapse with Bursill falling the following over, three short of his half century with the score on 117.

And then Mitch Sunderland went two overs later, after spooning a ball to mid-off, with no change to the total.
