ORGANISERS of one of Myrtleford’s biggest celebrations are set to begin a recruitment drive in an effort to build support for the annual event.
The team behind the 53-year-old Myrtleford Festival is looking for volunteers to take on minor roles to help ease the load of the event’s dedicated committee.
The Labour Day long weekend celebration is in need of “willing helpers” to keep the five-day festival running smoothly.
New vice president Kylie Britt said the committee was looking for volunteers eager to make a “small yet valuable” contribution.
“A few hours a week is the most people would need to contribute, but in many cases it would be a lot less than that,” she said.
“We’re trying to avoid having the same people do too much each year, so it might be something as simple as setting up tables on the festival weekend.
